Footy (soccer) legend that hated pullups "with a passion" and now does them ALL the time post retirement

Indeed interesting how  they all come around! And for once I saw something interesting on social Shedia, as I like to call it - now I had heard this before but wasn't sure if what I had heard was accurate. How the hell could a soccer legend  hate pull-ups passionately?

But that (and I saw another great post on it on social which prompted mine) he did  - a  certain David Beckham, and we  have all heard of him, no?

Apparently during his playing days it was mostly lower body work, and strength training for legs and pushing work, but not a lot of pushups, since Beckham didn't quite like them.  That to me is  surprising - soccer players do tons of pushups normally. Every athlete does.

But pull-ups especially, the former star (who by the way is on Men's health's cover as well post retirement) -  he's gone on record saying he found them very tough and could do like 3 at most and  hated them with a passion.

Interesting, David!

Now, post retirement, he does tons of them plus pushups. Not only does he credit these 2 movements for his current lean mean sexy physique 'can you train yourself handsome' was on Men's health cover, probably so haha -  - but he openly says how pushps have given him "an extra couple of  cup sizes".

For you non Brits that don't mean bra size. LOL.

He very openly credits pull-ups as the main reason for getting rid of back pain and lots of dings and dents incurred during his playing days.

No, he does NOT do them because they look impressive (and of course they do, see me doing them for one!).

He does them for very practical reasons.

Indeed an interesting read it was and all true. I'm sure I could beat Beckham at pull-ups, btw. Hehe. After all, I'm the world's best at them - now knees to chest, he would likely give me very serious competition to say the least, hehe.

I'll let y'all research it yourself, but like I keep saying, no substitute for pure Bodyweight exercises my friend.

Simply none ...

And note - nothing fancy either. He focuses on regular pushups and pull-ups. There is a very good reason, despite being so good at the Hindus which look fancier and have an exotic bent to them which attracts people - I focus far more on bodyweight pushups, squats etc (not that the others are bad, they aren't, but regular is better due to reasons I've explained and this is me saying it, I've literally got a flagship course out with those exercises - and other equally pathbreaking courses with the others). This is exactly why Brooks Kubik who I've always enjoyed my communications with back in the day did the same. That dude is REAL. Never sold out! More than I can say for a few others.

No cow bands, gay butt plugs pushups , worthless weird "Dopamine" bands (well dissected on the other site) and certainly not Granny stepups either.

Just what works, and the above paragraph is for larpers, what does NOT work and their results show loud & clear as beneath :-

Other than that I'd regale you with nightly tales of women, specifically the lovely washerwoman's lovely evil vibes daughter beating other women up in the family, but a fat feminist was nearby, her of  the "my husband is my PROPERTY - I will bobbit him if he even THINKS of  cheating!" fame (brag).

Whoever married her is another Ben Gay, quite literally, maybe that x2.

If that were to be even possible.

But that daughter is indeed lovely, classically feminine &  cruel,  and probably circumstances made her so. Her younger fairer and fatter too, lol, sister is far more favored it seems.

Ah yes, classic vibes. Of course, all power related. Someone was drunk They committed the cardinal sin of touching another person with their FOOT. My, feet ...

Then the mother applies oil to someones feet, the other girl is like "mine too, bitch!". Rather convoluted story. Typical soap opera style that women watch all day and identify with, of course, that's  how they all are themselves by their very nature.

"Better watch it, shell beat up her mother and father in law too!"

My own ex came to mind, but we shan't go there, shall we? Rather quaint term I used there, "shan't".

That's how the daughter talks to the  mother, which prompted my "my own Mom would have me hanging if I dared to speak like that to her" (not that Dr Mookerjee is rude to anyone anyway. I despise rude behavior, its CRUDE & ungentlemanly, animal like). I am an extremely cultured individual overall.

And since this blasted  computer  keeps putting in TWO spaces when there  should be one and I am getting sick of correcting it manually, I'm  out.

PS - Like I keep telling you, don't  make excuses.  Get damn good at pull-ups.It truly is WORTH IT.
